{a new do and a sunny lunch date}

{I finally got my hairs did! It literally has been over a year since my last actual haircut! Disgraceful! My friend Tara works miracles and really gussied up these locks of mine! I am loving having bangs and they aren't too short which is the BEST! After my hour and half long haircut (because it really takes that long..what?...I have thick hair!) we walked over to Whole Foods across the way for salad bar goodness. Then we sat in the sun and enjoyed a unusually warm February afternoon! It was lovely!}

{There is nothing better than catching up with a friend over an impromptu picnic in the park! Go have a picnic today, that is if you like in California..otherwise you are most likely out of luck! But hey who says you can't have a cozy picnic by your fireplace, or in a blanket fort, or heck...in bed! Happy Thursday friends of mine!}

:saturday scavenging:

{Today my dear friend Savannah and I grabbed a much needed cup of vanilla chai and perused the goods at a few vintage and thrift stores! I came home with a couple little treasures I thought I'd share!}

 {Sav got these awesome Pyrex plates, cups, and saucers for $.50 a piece! The man at the shop told us they had come from a diner that had closed down!}

{I brought home 2 super cool old cans! I plan to use them for planters! I thought Nicolai would like the pipe tobacco one...ya know it's kinda manly :)}

{I also fouund this little turtle to match a piece I already have. It's in the same exact frame but I has little sewn daisies! I think they will look cute together! The little cream and sugar pieces were only $3 for the pair! I love milk glass everything!}

{Here are a few pieces I wish I had bought! the trivet was so cute but as we are trying to get rid of stuff I thought it best to pass since I probably wouldn't use it! Same goes for this sweet little nut grinder! I was drooling all over it but I was a good girl and walked away! Maybe another day!}

{Hey there! So I officially have the day off tomorrow because my head cold/sinus explosion has decided that it wanted to pay me a visit, yet again! But so what, right? {wedding weekend: Max and Linnia}

{this past weekend we spent some quality time with friends and celebrated the marriage of two lovely people :) It was nice to kick back and enjoy a rainy October day that included lots of love, mustaches, a soup bar, and of course plenty of coffee!}

 After the short but very sweet ceremony we headed across the street to get coffee and snacks before the reception!

 {I had chai and apple pie :)}

{ahhhhhhh...}

{I just got home from work, thank goodness...I am now porking on celery and peanut butter followed by a scrumptious chocolate chip cookie ice cream sandwich, while waiting for the hubs to get home. Just thought I'd say hi since it's been awhile since I posted. Hi! I've missed you all! Lately I've had a bit of the blues and haven't felt very inspired. Needless to say I am feeling much better ad really encouraged! Right now I really want a furry little pet to snuggle with! The little cutie up above is Lola. She was my cat. I rescued her. One day when I was at work I found her stuck behind a rose bush. She was really dirty, starving half to death, and had SOO many fleas! She was scared and jumping but I could tell she was a sweetie. I took her home with me and spent way to much money getting her well and vaccinated. A few months later due to jobs and living situations, I had to give her to a friend. It was a good thing but broke my heart. She was the best. These pictures were taken when she was still very young and all she did was sleep. I took her everywhere with me until she got a bit stronger.}

{I just ran across these pictures and it makes me miss her terribly. Maybe one day I can have another kitty. Good night friends! I hope everybody had a positive Monday!
